This election will make history since it marks the first time that a female candidate is getting close to being elected into office. Her senator is Tim Kaine. Her campaign has stood for raising income, and improving care availibility. She is an advocate for undocumented immigrants, expanding on LGBT rights, and supporting families.

The other candidate running in the election representing the republican party is Donald Trump. Trump has made many outrageous claims, many of which sparking a number of controversies. His caompaign was not taken seriously a year and half ago, but today he stands as a candidate. Trumps views are seen by many as outrageous, making him a very controversial figure.
